LLS: Information Specialists
The Information Specialists at LLS can help blood cancer patients identify financial assistance programs for expenses related to rent, mortgage, lodging, utilities, childcare, elder care, food, transportation, car repair, car insurance, phone service, and acute dental work related to treatment. They also have special funds for co-pay assistance and some treatment costs.

CancerCare can offer limited financial assistance with treatment-related costs, such as transportation, home care, and child care for patients with certain types of cancer.

Sitka Cancer Survivor's Society Mini-Grants
The Sitka Cancer Survivor’s Society provides mini-grants to Sitka residents affected by cancer. These grants are $1,000.00 for the first year and $500 for each subsequent year – up to 5 years. Grant funds may be used for medical expenses, travel, lodging, food, rent, and utilities.
Individuals with cancer may apply on their own behalf, and family members or friends of individuals with cancer may apply on their behalf as well. A physician’s signature confirming eligibility is required when applying.
